Owners Dan Besau and Andy Mawrey are working together to give their customers coverage never known before, with five mobile dent repair technicians between them on the road at any one time.

Most repairs are carried out the same day and, along with the new digital billing system (whereby the repairs are logged and therefore guaranteed), this is now one of the country’s largest independent repair networks.

But some dents reveal weird and wonderful stories – this one was no exception.  In this case we not only repaired the dent, but we also saved the customer from getting sacked!

We were contacted by a very worried young man, who we shall call Rodney.  He works as part of a large, busy sales team.  Every month the salesman (or woman) with the most sales gets to borrow the boss’s fully kitted out Range Rover Vogue SE for a weekend.

Rodney had a cracking month and won the treat for the first time.  The boss’s advice to all who borrow the car is to “make sure that it comes back just as you found it, otherwise you’ll be sacked”.

After cruising around the area all morning and enjoying the novelty, Rodney took his girlfriend to the cinema on Saturday afternoon, leaving the boss’s Range Rover in the car park…  and was absolutely gutted when he returned and found a little dent in the driver’s side door.

After a sleepless night contemplating how to tell the boss, he found our website through Google and called us on the Sunday morning.  He lives very near one of our technicians and within one hour of his phone call we had attended at his house and repaired the dent – it was as good as new.

Rodney was so grateful that he agreed to allow us to use his story on our website, but for obvious reasons we cannot show you a photo of him or the car.  He returned to work on Monday morning and his boss is none the wiser.

Paintless Dent Removal originated in the USA back in the 1970s but didn’t really hit the UK until the late 1980s / early 1990s.  The Americans are the leaders in PDR, so we use our international contacts and relationships built up over years in the trade to ensure that we are at the forefront of technology here in the UK.

This tooling is relatively new and involves a larger vehicle in order to be able to carry out the repairs on a mobile basis.  We have just purchased a new Mercedes van to carry the additional equipment required (inverter, compressors, etc).

Air fed tooling enables us to repair much larger dents on site (eg roof dents), and ensures a much smoother finish to the repaired vehicle – as well as a quicker repair.

Last week, Bradford residents Kirsty and her boyfriend walked to their local pub for a few drinks. Upon their return late in the evening, neither could find their keys.

After much debate the decision was taken and Kirsty’s boyfriend decided to break into their house, climbing up a drain pipe in order to gain entry to a first floor window.

Of course this is tricky to do when sober so, with a few pints behind him, this was bound to end in failure.

Half way up the drain pipe, despite a promising start, the pipe snapped and Kirsty’s boyfriend fell the short distance from the side of the house onto their beloved Peugeot 107 that was parked on the driveway.

Not only did he break his ankle, he also dented the car’s roof in multiple places. Kirsty eventually gained access to her property by breaking a window (just before her boyfriend was taken away in an ambulance).

The next day, DentRepairs sent out two mobile technicians who repaired the damage to the car in about four hours using paintless dent removal techniques, much to the relief and satisfaction of all concerned.

This is a Porsche 550-1500 RS Spyder, one of only 100 brought into the UK.  Made in 1954, this outstanding example is conservatively valued at around one million pounds.
